About the Role:
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is looking for a skilled DB2 SME with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing jobs, job queues, printers, spool files, and system performance, including memory and storage allocation.
Must Have:
- BRMS, Tapes and Restore, Printer, General TCP Administration
- Replication Tools: QEDD, iTera, and MIMIX
- Monitoring Tools: Nimbus, Tivoli, Control-M, Nagios, and SolarWinds
- Scheduling Tools: AJS, Robot, Control-M, Halcyon, TaaTools
Responsibilities:
- Experience in managing jobs, job queues, printers, spool files, and re-organization
- Execute queries to analyze and organize objects
- Manage system performance, including memory and storage allocation
- Install PTFs on frequent intervals when a new release is updated
- Configure backup and recovery for objects in the partitions
- Check and upgrade licenses, OS as and when released
- Recover a system during a disaster from a last saved tape or media
- Install and configure replication of objects between production and backup partitions
- Perform a role swap between production and disaster recovery partitions
- Knowledge on SST and DST consoles to manage hardware remotely
